Veteran’s Committee
Service Beyond the Uniform
The Veterans Committee serves all those who have served. We bring together the veteran community at large with our IBEW workforce to improve lives and livelihoods. We recognize that members who understand service and solidarity are invaluable to our organization.
What We Do
-
Mentorship: We provide guidance to young veterans as they transition into the electrical industry.
-
Community Support: We lead efforts like organizing Veterans Day parades, sending care packages to troops, and staffing job fairs at nearby bases.
-
Service Projects: We partner with organizations like Habitat for Humanity and conduct clothing drives for veterans in need.
-
Advocacy: We keep our veteran members informed on economic and political issues that directly affect their benefits and rights.
Mission Statement
To mentor all veterans and bring veterans’ issues to the forefront of the IBEW while connecting national and community organizations with local unions to promote the hiring of veterans within the electrical industry.

Our Goals
-
To build a strong community and strengthen veteran voices within the union.
-
To facilitate connections between military veterans and established union members.
-
To recruit transitioning service members through programs like “Helmets to Hardhats”.
