The Women’s Committee is a vital asset in building a more inclusive, stronger, and diverse organization. We fulfill a unique role by bringing a greater understanding of gender issues to our local union and ensuring women are represented at all levels of leadership.
What We Do

Mentorship: We assist in developing programs that support women’s leadership and career success.

Education: We inform the industry on issues related to gender equality and provide resources for professional development.

Community Activism: We participate in town hall meetings, political campaigns, and community service to increase our union’s visibility.

Advocacy: We speak out on critical issues like affordable childcare, work-life balance, and proper PPE for women on job sites.
Mission Statement
To increase the participation of women in every aspect of the union, including apprenticeship training, mentoring, leadership, and union, community, and political activism.
