Please note: Enrollment must be done in advance by phone or email for all courses. You must attend all scheduled days of the course to receive CEU’s, and partial credit will not be issued. All classes will be held at the WEJATC unless otherwise noted.

Attention: You must have 12 hours of Continuing Education Units from approved courses, with six hours consisting of training on the National Electrical Code (NEC), every two years for license renewal.

*Proper Application of NEC 430 Motors

This 3 hour course will cover the requirements in Article 430 on proper installation of motors.  This will include sizing conductors, overload protection, proper disconnecting devices, over-current protection and many other requirements for proper installation of motors.  This Course can be used for preparation to taking electrical license exam.

This course provides training on electrical safety and the hazards associated with energized equipment, arc fault calculations, and methods for selecting proper arc flash protective equipment.  This course is based on the current NFPA 70E, but will also discuss associated National Electric Code requiremnets that affect both the NEC and 70E

*NEC 310 Wire Ampacity and Derating Conductors

This 3 hour course provides instruction on the proper sizing of wire.  The course covers derating of conductors for ambient temperature as well as for multiple conductors in a raceway.  It gives practical instruction on the sizing of conductors for specific applications.  Other related articles of the NEC are also reviewed.  This course would be a good refresher course or preparation for the licensing exam.


*NEC 210-215 & Chapter 9 Voltage Drop

This 3 - hour course provides instriction in sizing circiut conductors for voltage drop.  Voltage frop formulas & calucations will be done over.  Chapter 9 table 8 of the NEC will be reviewed.  This course would be a good regresher course or preparation for the licensing exam.


*Box & Conduit Fill and Properties of NEC Chapter 9

This 3 hour course covers the proper use of tables 4 and 5 of the  NEC for use in calculating condit fill.  This course also covers Article 314 of the NEC and its ise in calculating box fill and sizing pull and juction boxes.  Other related articles are also reviewed.  This course would be a good refresher course or preparation for a licensing exam.
