Class Schedule

Please note: Enrollment must be done in advance by phone or email for all courses. You must attend all scheduled days of the course to receive CEU’s, and partial credit will not be issued. All classes will be held at the WEJATC unless otherwise noted.

Attention: You must have 12 hours of Continuing Education Units from approved courses, with six hours consisting of training on the National Electrical Code (NEC), every two years for license renewal.

*NEC Variable Frequency Drive & NEC Requirements

This 9-hour course provides training on the fundamentals of frequency drives, including:  Drive fundamentals and how they operate, proper installation, programming, start up procedures, and troubleshooting.  This course will also cover NEC requirements for proper protection of motors. 


First Aid/CPR/AED

AutoCAD Basics for Electrical Construction

This course will cover basic drawing tools, techniques & commands used for reviewing & manipulating architectural drawings in 2D & 3D AutoCAD format.  The course will provide construction workers a better understanding of the useful tools available in AutoCAD.  Those attending the course should have a good working knowledge of blueprints & computers.


*NFPA 70E - Electrical Saftey

This course provides training on electrical safety and the hazards associated with energized equipment, arc fault calculations, and methods for selecting proper arc flash protective equipment.  This course is based on the current NFPA 70E, but will also discuss associated National Electric Code requiremnets that affect both the NEC and 70E 


*NEC Article 240 Overcurrent Protection

This course will be based on NEC article 240.  It will cover basic code requirements for overcurrent protection of branch circuits, feeders, and taps.

This 3 hour course will provide an in-depth examination of definitions essential for proper understanding of the general requirements for all electrical installations according to NEC Article 100 & 110.

This course will provide an in-depth examination of general requirments for all branch circuits, branch circuit ratings, receptacle requirments and all other provisions of NEC Article 210.
